The Arc is the only provider of
Advocacy Services for children and
adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
in the Lehigh Valley, free of charge.
The program provides
Educational Advocacy for
children/youth who are experiencing
problems/frustrations with the public
schools. We also provide
Adult Advocacy
for adults with any issue that threatens
their quality of life. In addition, we
provide
Specialized Training sessions for
families and others on issues that most
families will need help with such as
estate planning, special education law,
etc. And our
Family Resource Center lending
library provides a wide variety of
books, periodicals, DVD’s, materials and
resources of many kinds related to
disabilities.
In a recent survey, 98% of families
reported that our Advocacy Services
program made a significant, positive
impact on their lives.
